Neetu Spills On Being Replaced By Kangana In Tanu Weds Manu

Bollywood actress Neetu Chandra who is known for her acting chops in Garam Masala (2005), during her recent interview with a leading digital entertainment portal opened up on being removed from 6 films along with getting replaced by Kangana Ranaut in Tanu Weds Manu.

Best known for her debut romantic comedy film Garam Masala (2005) alongside Akshay Kumar and John Abraham which established her as an actress in this industry, stunning B town actress Neetu spills on being replaced by Kangana in Tanu Weds Manu.

Marking her Bollywood debut in 2005 with Garam Masala, in a recently conducted chat interview, film actress Neetu spills on being replaced by Kangana in Tanu Weds Manu.

Later on she also acted in a Telugu film and also played the female lead in the critically acclaimed Bollywood film Traffic Signal (2007) that was directed by prolific film maker Madhur Bhandarkar. During her recent interview with a leading digital entertainment portal, opening up more about the 6 films from which she got removed and replaced, Neetu spills on being replaced by Kangana in Tanu Weds Manu.

In the latest interview with leading digital Bollywood news portal, Neetu Chandra revealed that it was on Bollywood / Tollywood superstar R Madhavan’s recommendation that she got replaced by the versatile actress Kangana Ranaut in ace film maker Aanand L Rai’s superhit film Tanu Weds Manu (2011). Speaking more in depth about it, Neetu said, “I’m talking about Madhavan. He said, ‘There was another actress who was signed for Tanu Weds Manu, but I recommended Kangana’s name’.”

Neetu further also added, “That actress was me, the one who had signed Tanu Weds Manu earlier”.

She also confessed about how frequently these things kept on happening to her but it has all been a part of her struggle. Throwing more importance on this point, she also said, “These kinds of things kept happening. I was removed from six movies in the past. No one would pick up the phone and call me. Neetu had to (make calls) for Neetu. But this is the journey, and this is how I had to learn things”.

Later, when she was questioned about why she didn’t continue if she had been signed already, the actress said, “How do you continue? Do you think it depends on me if I want to continue the project?”.

She then also went on to explain about the facts that if for any reason the film’s male lead / hero is recommending someone else’s name, she doesn’t come from that sort of background where she can stand her ground.

Explaining the same, she added, “For any reason, if the director thinks that the hero is recommending somebody else… I don’t come from the sort of background where I can (stand my ground). I’m helpless”.

Furthermore, Neetu concluded the interview by saying that she doesn’t have any grudges towards anyone since she believes in destiny and also opened up on how she had another film with director Aanand L Rai in the making which didn’t happen.
