Recently, Nawazuddin Siddiqui came under attack for trolling after reports claimed that he wanted to ban the recently released film The Kerala Story. However, the actor did not give any such statement to any news portal. Now Nawaz has reacted to this false news and put a full stop to it.

The actor responded to “false” rumours on Twitter today by denying his support for the restriction on “The Kerala Story.” A film ban is something he will never support, he added, calling it a “cheap TRP” tactic used by some media outlets without mentioning any specific portal.

His tweet reads: “Please stop spreading false news just to get some views and hits, it’s called cheap TRP – I never said and I would never want any film to be banned ever. STOP BANNING FILMS. STOP SPREADING FAKE NEWS !!!

According to media sources, Nawaz stated to a news portal that it is wrong if a book or movie causes someone harm. “We don’t make films to offend viewers or their feelings.”

He further told the news portal that filmmakers should make films to foster social harmony and love among people. “It’s our responsibility to propagate the same. But if a film has the power to break people’s hearts and social harmony, it’s extremely wrong. Hum mein isse duniya ko jodna hai, nahi ki todna hai.”
