Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has bagged the lead role in the upcoming Hollywood film “Laxman Lopez”. The actor will be seen playing the protagonist in Laxman Lopez which is a Christmas-themed movie to be directed by Roberto Girault.
The Hollywood actor recently walked the Cannes red carpet on Tuesday as a delegate member. However according to the recent reports the actor is expected to play the lead in the upcoming American film Laxman Lopez. In his recent interview with Variety the actor revealed, “For starters, the opportunity to work in a Christmas movie is something very different and immediately had my attention. The director, Roberto Girault, has shown his power and command over the camera, and the way he can unveil new sides to an actor. It is a welcome challenge that I often yearn for. And most importantly, the name, Laxman Lopez, had me instantly curious.”
He added, “When I first read the script, I started my search to find the perfect Laxman Lopez and my mind immediately navigated to Nawazuddin. I have seen a few of his works and know that this role will bring out a lesser-known vulnerable side to him.”
The actor was last seen at the Cannes film festival as a member of the Indian delegation, the actor was spotted with the Information and Broadcasting Minister of Anurag Thakur. On the work front, Nawazuddin was last seen in Tiger Shroff’s Heropanti 2. While he has many films in his bag like Tiku Weds Sheru, Bole Chudiyan, and Jogira Sara Ra Ra.
