Brahmastra: Ayan Mukerji’s film Brahmastra was undoubtedly one of the most hyped and much-anticipated films of the year. With almost 10 years spent in the making, the film has now finally been released in the theatres. However, prior to its release, the film became a target of viral boycott trends and protests, reacting to the same Brahmastra actors Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna have finally broken their silence on the matter here’s what they said-
Nagarjuna & Mouni Roy On Boycott Trends Against Brahmastra
In a recent conversation with News18, Mouni said, “It didn’t bother me but I would wonder why somebody would write such things even without watching the film first. If you watch it and then don’t like it, you can express so.” Furthermore, she continued, “These are all phantom people, who are hiding behind their screens. They don’t have anything else to do and have a surplus amount of time. So, they waste it doing these things.”
Nagarjuna on the other hand also shared his take on the ongoing boycott trend. Mentioning the blockbuster success of his film Brahmastra the South superstar told a Telugu newspaper Eenadu that films such as Gangubai Kathiawadi, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, RRR, and others did well at the box office since they had good content.
He further mentioned Aamir Khan’s film, Laal Singh Chaddha, and said that the film did not perform well but Brahmastra did, he further added that the ongoing boycott trend against the film failed to affect the movie. He added, that no boycott trend can stop a film’s success at the box office as long as the content of the film is good and a lot of Hindi and Telugu films have proven that.
