Samantha Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya called off their wedding nearly three months back, breaking millions of hearts who shipped them together as their fans. As the two decided to part ways, there were multiple speculations that made rounds on the internet, justifying their divorce. The two had shared a decade-long bond, as friends and moreover as co-stars. It was during the shooting of one of their films “Vinnaithandi Varuvaya” that the two reportedly started dating. Thereafter they gave many hit films like “Manam”, “Majili”, “Ye Maaya Chesave”, and “Autonagar Surya”, and got married in 2017.
In a recent interview, Naga Chaitanya was asked according to him, with whom does he share the best on-screen chemistry. To which the actor took Samantha’s name. Further, he was asked about the actress that he’d love to work with in the future, he mentioned Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt’s names.” I love their performances. So if I ever get an opportunity I would love to share screen space with them in some way” he confessed.
Last week Samantha and Naga started trending again, when Samantha deleted their separation post from Instagram, giving positive hope to their fans. Many even speculated that the two are about to patch up again. But it was only later revealed that it was moved to de-clutter her Instagram posts and that Samantha was deleting posts that were no longer associated with her life.
All rumors and speculations started when Samantha dropped Akkineni from her Instagram username, which left fans questioning about their rift. The two declared separation news on Instagram with a post that read,
“To all our well-wishers. After much deliberation and thought Sam and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us. We request our fans, well-wishers, and the media to support us during difficult times and give us the privacy we need to move on. Thanking you for your support.”
Samantha was last seen performing hit track “O Antava” in “Pushpa: The Rise” and is also speculated to do another hit track in Vijay Devarakonda and Ananya Pandey’s upcoming “Liger”.
