Who Wrote Salman Khan-SRK Post Credit Scene In Pathaan?

Salman Khan’s surprise cameo appearance as Tiger in Pathaan is the major highlight of the movie.

Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham starrer Pathaan has been on record breaking spree since it’s release on January 25. The film has broke almost box office records held by previous Hindi blockbusters. But apart from it’s record breaking collection, there is one more reason this spy thriller is in the trending topic since it’s release. And that reason is Salman Khan’s cameo as Tiger. Especially the post credit scene has caught everyone’s attention and become a major discussion point among cinephiles.

Everyone was praising film’s write Sridhar Raghavan for writing this hilarious scene, but in a recent media interaction Sridhar revealed that although he wrote the film’s screenplay, he is not the one who deserves a praise for this particular scene because he had very little to do with this scene. Talking about this particular scene Sridhar said, “That scene is actually written by Adi sir (Aditya Chopra). I didn’t write it. Whoever sees the screenplay credit, they see Sridhar. But that scene is written by Adi sir and that placement is genius. Putting it right there, it was beautiful. I was taken aback. I didn’t expect it. I am involved as a screenplay writer. And when I was watching the edit, I thought this was a great scene. I was like ‘I don’t remember writing this scene’. He (Aditya Chopra) laughed and said he wrote this. He knew what he wanted, he’s a genius and the result is for everyone to see.”

Spoiler Alert: In the scene we see both Pathaan (Shah Rukh Khan) and Tiger (Salman Khan) relaxing after a fight and discussing who is going to take their place? And they realize there is no one to take their place and they only have to continue doing what they have been doing for past 30 years. The scene also works brilliantly as a meta reference to their status and their contribution to Bollywood for the past three decades.

Pathaan is fourth film in YRF’s spyverse after Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) and War (2019). Siddharth Anand’s directorial has amassed Rs. 330 crores nett in India in seven days and has crossed Rs. 600 crores at worldwide box office.
