Mrunal Thakur has been basking in the glory of her latest film Sita Ramam. She received love and adulation for her Telugu debut which was later released in other languages including Hindi. She is now gearing up for her next project ‘Pooja Meri Jaan’. In the movie, she will play a leading role alongside Huma Qureshi.
Mrunal Thakur has created her presence in the industry coming from television. Before making her name in Bollywood she acted in many television shows including Kumkum Bhagya and appeared in advertisements. She then progressed to the big screens with her Hindi debut Love Sonia. Mrunal Thakur revealed she looks for playing different roles in every film and how her character in Pooja Meri Jaan is different from Sita Ramam.
Talking about her new project, the Jersey actor spoke about how her character in Pooja Meri Jaan is different than the Princess she played in Sita Ramam. She said, “The character I play is completely different from my role in ‘Sita Ramam’. The way Pooja dresses is the way I talk, it’s a whole new person I created.”
The actress is in the game looking out for distinct characters and roles in films. She has a hunger for different opportunities and to play different personalities in her movies. “I have always been hungry for roles that are different from each other and I am grateful that directors chose me to do those parts. In this particular movie, I can promise that people will see a new side of my acting skills, which is also equally exciting for me,” she said.
Pooja Meri Jaan is a Dinesh Vijan project also starring Huma Qureshi in the lead. Mrunal is teaming up with Qureshi for the first time. Huma is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Double Xl along with Sonakshi Sinha. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on 4th November.
