Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor, who was once perceived as the most charming and eligible bachelor, is now being boycotted by the audience. His comeback film ‘Shamshera’ has already flopped at the box office while his upcoming film ‘Brahmastra’ is also under the radar of the online ‘Boycott Bollywood’ gang. Ranbir is currently facing backlash for being a beef-eater. Recently, he was also slammed for making an insensitive joke on his pregnant wife Alia Bhatt during Brahmastra promotions. 1- Fat-shamed his wife Alia Bhatt
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are expecting their first child together. During a Live promotional event of Brahmastra, Ranbir fat-shamed Alia. Pointing at her baby bump, he said that she is spreading. As the clip went viral amongst netizens, Ranbir was brutally criticized for his comment. Later, at another public event, he had to apologize for his incentive joke.

2- Made fun of Anushka Sharma’s anxiety
Ranbir Kapoor once made fun of his ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ co-star Anushka Sharma. He funnily mentioned that Anushka takes medication for anxiety. He said, “She has to pop a pill even if she wants to have a conversation. I have seen her do that. She pops anxiety killers, what are they called?”
3- Tone-deaf joke on casting couch
Ranbir once made a casual comment on the casting couch which wasn’t well-received by a lot of people. It happened in 2018 during the promotion of his film ‘Sanju’. During that time, choreographer Saroj Khan justified the culture of the casting couch during a press conference. When Ranbir Kapoor was asked to share his views, he offered neither a criticism of what Saroj Khan said nor of the film industry’s dirty secret. Instead, he joked, “I have never faced it. If it’s there, it’s the worst kind.” Ranbir was brutally criticised back then.
On the work front, Ranbir is currently busy promoting ‘Brahmastra’. Post which, he will be seen opposite Rashmika Mandanna in ‘Animal’.
