Inside The ‘Ranbir-Alia’ Wedding- Guests Were Served This Menu!

Alia and Ranbir are officially man and wife now, the couple getting hitched for life on Thursday sure stole all the limelight! With fans being obsessed with their adorable wedding pictures to other unique wedding rituals, kudos to the couple for breaking not just one but multiple stereotypes. Sure, Ranbir and Alia have raised the bar high with their simple yet elegant wedding, which shall remain etched in the hearts of their fans forever.

Ranbir and Alia are now spending their quality time together as a married couple before the actors resume their hectic shoots. But fans can’t seem to get over the wedding yet and still want all the details about the wedding, as the couple chose for a very intimate affair as they tied the knot in the presence of just their families and selective close friends from the industry. The media wasn’t, however, able to get quite a hold of the wedding ceremony and other intimate information about the wedding. Which obviously, has generated a sense of curiosity among fans.

One such report reveals Alia and Ranbir’s wedding food menu, which was apparently served to the guests who attended the wedding. It is believed that, among other food varieties, the wedding menu had 3 Kashmiri traditional dishes, from the Kashmiri cuisine. One of the dishes, named Dum Olav, is a version of Dum Aloo, with a Kashmiri twist. The dish is said to be known for its rich flavour that it derives from aromatic Indian spices and condiments added to it, to enhance its flavour.

The next dish was this sweet flavorful rice dish, called the Modur Pulav, perfect for special occasions like that of a wedding. The rice gets its sweetness from sugar, milk, saffron and cinnamon added to it. It’s absolutely mouth-watering as a dish and definitely worth a try if you haven’t already.

Other than the main course menu, a special Kashmiri Kahwa, a herbal tea served along with lemons, is a mandatory drink in a Kashmiri household. The drink is said to have more than 25 variants, but the beauty lies in the fact that it has a different recipe n every different household.

Alia and Ranbir tied their wedding knot yesterday, here in Mumbai, with fans and media both anticipating their wedding updates and pictures with bated breath. Although the wedding was so intimate, only the couple were able to share their debut wedding pics to the fans. Alia shared their wedding pictures on their Instagram handle and captioned, “Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home in our favourite spot – the balcony we’ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship – we got married. With so much already behind us, we can’t wait to build more memories together memories that are full of love, laughter, comfortable silences, movie nights, silly fights, wine delights and Chinese bites. Thank you for all the love and light during this very momentous time in our lives. It has made this moment all the more special. Love, Ranbir and Alia (sic).”
