A man from Rajasthan was recently arrested by the Haveri District Police in Karnataka for allegedly threatening Bollywood star actor Salman Khan with death. The suspect known as Bhikha Ram also known as Vikram, happens to be a 32 years old and he reportedly called Khan’s office and the Bandra police station, demanding a large sum of money. The police quickly handed him over to Maharashtra’s Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) for more investigation.
According to Haveri police, Bhikha Ram called on November 4, warning that actor Salman Khan would be harmed if he didn’t pay a ransom. He claimed to be connected to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang which raised concerns about the seriousness of the threat. Following these calls, the Mumbai Police acted swiftly increasing security around Khan’s residence.

With the help of Maharashtra ATS, Haveri police found Bhikha Ram at a rented house where he was living with two others. He had come to Haveri about a month ago and was working as a metal fabricator at construction sites. Police say he seemed influenced by the gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Bhikha Ram was reportedly watching a news channel when he decided to call the Mumbai Police control room and issue the threat. He demanded ₹5 crore from Khan, claiming the actor should apologize at their temple.
After his arrest, Bhikha Ram was sent to Maharashtra for further questioning, while Salman Khan continues to remain under tight security as the investigation goes on.
