One of the most recognised actresses of the Bollywood industry Mamta Kulkarni has made her comeback to India after 25 long years. In 2000, Mamta left the industry as well as the nation, flying off to a different country permanently. Now, as she has returned to her mother-land, Mumbai, in India, the former actress has opened up on her married life with husband Vicky Goswami. In a shocking stance, Mamta mentioned that she never got married to anyone, and Vicky Goswami is not her husband.

Upon her arrival to India, Mamta Kulkarni opened up to News18 on her return after decades. She further also talked about her marriage with Vicky Goswami,whom she was linked with in the mid-2000s. In a latest interaction with the media outlet, the Karan-Arjun actress denied calling Vicky as her husband. She said, “I am not married to Vicky, he is not my husband. I am still single. I have not married anyone. Vicky and I have had a relationship but I blocked him 4 years ago”. Though the actress definitely praised the man for having a good heart, but also added that there were many people in the industry who used to visit him, before she even knew him. “I was the last person from the film industry to meet Vicky. When I came to know about his truth, I left him. He was in Dubai jail. Vicky came out of jail in 2012. I met him in 2016. After that he was arrested again. He is my past now. I have left him.”

Although the people have known Vicky Goswami as Mamta Kulkarni’s husband tag for years, but this shocking revelation by the 90s actress has induced a sense of confusion among fans and follower of the woman. For the unversed, Vicky Goswami was a major drug dealer, accused for illegal drug trafficking. He was jailed in 1977 in Dubai for 10 years. As per the reports, the actress used to visit him during those days and it was later heard that the two got married while he was inside the prison himself.
Years later, Mumbai’s Thane police in 2015-2016 filed a complaint against Mamta Kulkarni upon finding her involvement in the drug-trafficking case. Her name flashed in the headlines for all the wrong reasons like supplying drug to big gangsters, and also for being in touch with an international drug ring in Kenya in January 2016.
A few days ago Mamta Kulkarni announced the news of her return to India. The actress revealed that she is here to her own mother land after more than two decades. Further she added that she will be attending the Kumbh Mela 2025, which is the sole reason for her visit after these many years.
