Taking to her Twitter account, a few hours back Madhuri penned a emotionally heartfelt long note as she fondly recalled all the unforgettable memories related to this epic film of her illustrious career.
The Dhak dhak girl of bollywood Madhuri Dixit in her tweet thanked the filmmaker for sharing it, her tweet read, “Reminiscing some great and happy memories from the sets of Devdas. Even 19 years later it all feels so fresh! Thank you Sanjay for sharing these. Will Cherish these forever!”.
Furthermore, she also mentioned and stated that this iconic and cult movie is a homage and an ode to legendary late thespian Dilip Kumar saying that the legend will be remembered forever just like the movie and for giving her salute and ode to the late Bollywood megastar, Madhuri further penned, “Here’s our ode to #DilipKumar, just like #Devdas, you will continue to live on…forever! #19YearsOfDevdas”.
We all also know that inspiration for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s modern day contemporary take with SRK, Madhuri and Aishwarya starrer Devdas (2002) was based on the cult late legend Dilip Kumar, Vyjayanthimala and Suchitra Sen starrer black and white cinematic masterpiece Devdas (1955) which had been directed and helmed by Bimal Roy.
