The Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit has won over the hearts of the audiences not only with her good looks but also her credible acting and dancing skills. After impressing everyone on the big screen, Madhuri Dixit Nene’s digital arena debut as producer made a lot of buzz. Late, the news of her making her acting debut with a Karan Johar series left her fans elated.
Meanwhile, there are speculations that Madhuri Dixit Nene has signed another web series with the Ship Of Theseus directed Anand Gandhi. If we believe the hearsay, Madhuri has joined hands with Anand Gandhi for a web series titled ‘Saheli’. The series is said to be a six-part drama and it will be released on newly partnered OTT platform Disney + Hotstar.
Speaking of the web series, a source close to the development revealed, “Anand has been developing the six-part drama over the past two years. The story spans over three decades from the late ’80s to 2020. Mumbai, as a backdrop, is integral to the proceedings as the protagonist’s journey runs parallel to the city’s evolution.”
The source further added, “After zeroing in on Madhuri for the lead role, the team had only begun the principal casting when the lockdown was announced and will resume pending pre-production work when the restrictions are relaxed.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Madhuri will be seen in Karan Johar’s series which will soon be released on Netflix. Earlier, Madhuri had expressed her excitement about working on digital platforms. The plot of the series revolves around a superstar and what happens when she goes missing suddenly.
Last year, Madhuri produced a Marathi movie titled ’15 August’ and it made its way on Netflix.
