Madhuri Dixit married Dr. Sriram Nene at the peak of her career and moved to the US to start a family. The actress and the doctor lived in the United States for years until she returned to India a few years ago to resume her acting career.
In a recent conversation, Madhuri shared how difficult the early years of their marriage were as Madhuri had to adjust to the demands of Sriram’s job. On the YouTube channel, Dr. Sriram Nene told Madhuri, “It is difficult because of the time they have to keep. Whether it’s day or night and call times, sometimes you’re calling every other day, and sometimes you’re online like you’re skipping a day and being on call. It’s hard because then you’re the one who takes care of the kids, takes them to school, takes them back, and stuff like that. Sometimes something important can also happen, but you are not there because you are caring for someone else in the hospital. Sometimes I can be sick and you have someone else to take care of. However, the actress added that realizing that her husband is saving lives and caring for the sick also has positive aspects. The actress said: “But I think it’s also very encouraging and I’ve always been very proud of you because every time I’ve seen you so concerned about the patients you care for or fighting for their rights, I know it is bottom of my heart. sincerely, you are a very good person. She also called their marriage a “beautiful journey,” adding, “We always had this partnership where we looked out for each other and made sure the kids were always taken care of, always felt loved and cared for.” There are times when It’s tough, but there are times when we know that whatever we do in life is for the best and we both want it.”

Madhuri and Dr. Nene married in 1999, after which she moved to the USA, their two children Arin and Ryan were born in 2003 and 2005 respectively. Madhuri and her family finally returned to India a decade ago.
