Nawazuddin Siddiqui in “Thackeray”: Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of the best actors in the Bollywood industry right now, he starred in “Thackeray” – a 2019 Indian biographical film written and directed by Abhijit Panse and made simultaneously in Marathi and Hindi. The film follows the life of Balasaheb Thackeray, the founder of the Indian political party Shiv Sena. The film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui as ‘Thackeray’ and Amrita Rao as his wife. The film was released on 25 Jan 2019, right after the 93rd birthday of Bal Thackeray.

3. Manoj Bajpayee in “Rajneeti”: Manoj Bajpayee is famous for making unpopular roles popular with his powerful acting. In the movie “Rajneeti”, the actor played the role of ‘Veerendra Pratap’, who is an ambitious and power-driven politician and can go to any extent to achieve his goal. Manoj Bajpayee through his character brought forward a relevant facet of politics that left audiences in awe.

Richa Chadda in “Madam Chief Minister”: A woman charts a treacherous path when she decides to enter politics and become the chief minister of the state, despite facing many problems, her greatest challenge lies in balancing power and responsibility. This film stars Richa Chadda in the lead role, where she got praised for playing the role of a Dalit woman. The film was shot in Lucknow all through November and December 2019 in a straight start to finish 40-day schedule.

5. Kangana Ranaut in “Thalaivii”: In the movie “Thalaivi”, Kangana Ranaut is seen as playing the role of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister ‘J. Jayalalithaa’. To fit in the role, the actress gained 20kgs for the film. Her efforts are seen throughout the movie where we can see the resemblance of ‘Jayalalithaa’s’ gestures and facial expressions with the actress.
