Liger Box Office Collection: 90% Of Shows Cancelled In South India, No Signs Of Hope

Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday starrer Liger's box office collection on Monday, 90% of the shows get canceled in the South.

Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday starrer Liger was released in the theatres on 25th August. The film was heavily promoted for over a month in about 17 cities. The massive promotions and Vijay Deverakonda’s fandom paid off on its opening day as it recorded great numbers. However, the negative reviews have impacted the film which is evident as now 90% of the shows of Vijay Deverakonda’s film have been canceled in the South.

Vijay Deverakonda Starrer Liger Dips Further At The Box Office

Liger earned around Rs 33.12 crore, thanks to the advance bookings. However, the film has disappointed everyone. Not only the film critics, but even the die-hard fans of Vijay Deverakonda have rejected the film. The earnings of Liger witnessed a major dip over the first weekend.

While on Monday the film registered a massive fall, while as per many early predictions it is now reported that the film might go off the theatres soon. As of now, over 90% of the shows of the film have been canceled in the South on Monday, which is quite surprising since the South superstar Vijay Deverakonda has a massive fanbase in the South industry, however, it seems that even his fandom can’t help the film from avoiding the failure at the box office.

As per the Andhraboxoffice report, the film registered a massive downfall over its first weekend earning a total of Rs 7.5 cr on Day 3 and approx Rs 5.50 crore on its fourth day in theatres. The film now stands on a total of Rs 43.2 crores worldwide. Liger is said to be made with a budget of Rs 100 crore. According to trade experts, the film might not be able to cover its cost from box office earnings and will have to rely on earnings from the OTT release.
