This ‘Lata Mangeshkar Painting Exhibition’ Is A Great Tribute To The ‘Nightingale Of India’

Lata Mangeshkar was unquestionably one of the greatest vocalists in the country and has offered music fans a plethora of timeless tunes. With the unfortunate demise of Lata Mangeshkar, condolences poured in as India woke up to disheartening news of having lost the legendary singer, who succumbed while undergoing treatment at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Sunday.

As India lost its most iconic voice, Aneel Murarka, Founder of Ample Mission paid a pictorial tribute to her. He exhibited 34 paintings of Late Smt. Lata Mangeshkar from her adolescence to adulthood. The display consisted of rare pictures of her, a few never-seen-before portraits.

Emotional about the demise, Aneel Murarka said “In her seven-decade-long career, Lata Mangeshkar gave us musical gems such as “Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo”, “Lag Jaa Gale”, “Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hain Hum”, and “Pyar Kiya Toh Darna Kya”, among others. For her exceptional talent, she was honored with countless awards, including the Bharat Ratna, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Dadasaheb Phalke Award. This is a small gesture to honor her work, there was and there will never be anyone like her”.
