The two Bollywood superstars Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar will soon be facing off at the box office with their upcoming films Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan. Both the films will be seen clashing at the box office however in the advance bookings, Aamir Khan’s film has apparently got an edge above Akshay Kumar’s film after the film scored better numbers at the advance bookings. Laal Singh Chaddha Puts Behind Raksha Bandhan At Advance Booking

As per a BoxofficeIndia report, Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar’s film Raksha Bandhan has fallen behind Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha in the advance booking trends. As the Aamir Khan starrer film, Laal Singh Chaddha is expected to collect close to Rs 8 crore in advance bookings. Meanwhile, on the other hand, Akshay Kumar starrer film Raksha Bandhan has a lower advance booking rate, collecting almost Rs 3 crore.

The two films are releasing on 11th August which will also mark the festival, Raksha Bandhan. Speaking about the same Akshay said that the festive season might help score better at the box office, he said, “It’s a good week and it has two three holidays. I think, two releases can work easily this week. The COVID pandemic was there for almost two and a half years, so two or three films releasing in a week is inevitable”.

Meanwhile, both the much-awaited movies are releasing on 11th August 2022, which means it will be a big clash at the theaters. Reacting to the clash with Aamir Khan’s film Akshay said, “It’s not a clash but two films coming together. It’s a big day. It’s the holiday season, it is Rakshabandhan. See because of Covid many films didn’t release. Many films are still lying around, waiting to be released in theatres. So two films releasing together is a very natural thing.”

Raksha Bandhan is a family entertainer starring Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar. The comedy-drama is directed by Aanand L. Rai and produced by Zee Studios, Colour Yellow Productions, and Cape of Good Films. The title itself suggests the storyline that revolves around the love and bond of brother-sister. Moreover, the movie also talks about the social subject of dowry and also provides a solution to it. 

Meanwhile, Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha is a Hindi remake of the Hollywood movie Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks. The upcoming movie directed by Advait Chandan features 3 idiots pair, Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor. The film is produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Viacom 18 Studios, and Paramount Pictures.
