Laal Singh Chaddha Release: Aamir Khan Admits Having Sleepless Nights

A day before the release of Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan reveals that he hasn't been able to sleep since last one month.

The wait is almost over as Laal Singh Chaddha is arriving at the cinema halls on the morning of August 11. Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Naga Chaitanya starrer Laal Singh Chaddha has been facing a backlash for the last few weeks. From Aamir Khan’s ‘intolerant India’ remark in 2015 to his allegedly ‘hinduphobic’ film PK, people have been citing different reasons to boycott his film. Amid all the hype and controversy, Aamir Khan admitted having sleepless nights for a month.

Aamir organised a special screening on the evening of 10th August where the film’s cast and crew along with other celebs of the industry were invited to watch the film. While interacting with the media, Aamir said, “We need your prayers. I am normally very stressed before the film’s release. Kiran (Rao) knows that. I haven’t been able to sleep for the last one month. But today morning, I went to Golden Temple in Amritsar and I felt very peaceful. I now think that jaisa hoga theek hi hoga (whatever will happen, it will be for good).”

He then added, “We are happy that our film is finally reaching the theatres. I just want to say that we have made this film with so much love and we hope that this film will touch your hearts in the same way it touched ours while we were making it. I feel proud to say that Advait has directed this film fabulously. He has made it exactly how we had imagined. I am proud that it is a film about love. I am proud that this film shows are beautiful Indian culture. It is getting a wide release even in foreign countries. We are presenting this film to the audience with a lot of hope. We hope that people like it.”

Laal Singh Chaddha is directed by Advait Chandan and jointly produced by Viacom 18 Studios and Aamir Khan Productions. It marks the Bollywood debut of Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya. The film is an official remake of American film Forrest Gump, starring Tom Hanks and Robin Wright.
