Kriti Sanon excited to play the role of a surrogate mother in her upcoming film ‘Mimi’

Kriti Sanon in her recent interview spoke about her next film with director Laxman Utekar, Mimi. She opened up about her excitement on playing the role of a surrogate mother. Read on to know more.

After Panipat with Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon is currently filming for her upcoming film Mimi, and in her recent interview, she expresses her excitement about the film as it the story is Bollywood standards is unusual. Kriti in the upcoming film will be seen playing the role of a young surrogate mother. 

She said, “I am very excited. It’s based on the subject of surrogacy but actually it’s the story of this young girl who wants to be an actor. She’s a dancer in Mandawa and she ends up being a surrogate for couple. Then, the things that follow change her life and also change her as a person. It’s a lot on me. It’s around this character Mimi. It is very entertaining, a beautiful script. One of the most beautiful scripts I have read. You will have a lot of humour and situational humour. At the same time, there are a lot of characters you will take back home.”

Luka Chuppi fame Laxman Utekar will be seen directing the film further talking about the film, Kriti Sanon revealed that they have already filmed 40 percent of the film. The film is based in Mandawa, Rajasthan. She further revealed that how one realizes that you are excited about the project when you end up narrating the story to every person around.

Kriti Sanon is also rumoured to be apart of Farah Khan’s film, the remake of Satte Pe Satta remake. Unconfirmed reports suggest that Hrithik Roshan and Anushka Sharma essay the roles Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini respectively, but it is also rumoured that Kriti will also be apart of the film. In her previous interview on being asked about the same she said, “I would love to (be a part of the film) but there is nothing that I know of, to be very honest.”

2019 has proved to be a great year for Kriti, as she features in successful films such as “Luka Chuppi” and “Housefull 4” and she also starred in “Panipat” which hit the theatres last week. She also has a cameo in last week’s other release, “Pati, Patni Aur Woh.”
