During the trailer launch of Mumbai Diaries 26/11, Konkona Sen Sharma talked about her role in the upcoming web-series.

The trailer of Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming series Mumbai Diaries 26/11 is out and it looks like a thrilling revisit of the unfortunate night in Mumbai in 2008 where a group of terrorists attacked a few prominent locations in the city. Set against the backdrop of the unforgetful night, Mumbai Diaries 26/11 showcases how doctors, nurses and the entire hospital staff worked under immense pressure.

The drama also unfolds the personal stories of the characters whose loved ones are in a hostage situation.

During the trailer launch event of the upcoming web series, actor Konkona Sen Sharma opened up about her role. She said, “I am playing somebody called Chitra Das. She is a Social Services Director in this hospital. Chitra is very vulnerable, but that’s her strength as well.”

Talking about the show, she said, “This show is dealing with the frontline workers like doctors, nurses, ward boys and administrative staff in a government hospital in a city like Mumbai. It’s a backdrop of 26/11, of course! I think it is particularly relevant today after Covid because we truly appreciate our frontline workers today more than ever. And we must support them always, regardless of Covid, regardless of 26/11 because truly, they are our heroes.”
