Actor Khurshed Lawyer has made a comeback with the web show ‘The Great India Murder’ on Disney+ Hotstar. He has been an essential part of various popular movies, television shows and TVCs, some of them being Munna Bhai M.B.B.S., Ajab Prem ki Gazab Kahani and Double Dhamaal. In the recently released Tigmanshu Dhulia’s ‘The Great Indian Murder’, he is seen to be playing the character of a psychiatrist. Khurshed has made his acting come back after 4 years with this show.
Talking about the experience of working in the same, he says,” There was no better way to back a comeback than a Tigmanshu Dhulia project. It was a thrilling experience overflowing with juices of creativity. To add to it Raghuvir Yadav was there in the project as well with whom I had the scene. Again Raghuvir ji is someone who is effortlessly flowing and enhancing your mood with the spurts and bursts of energy.”
Further talking about his role, he says, ” I am playing the character of a psychiatrist i.e. Dr diwan, who is seen to be taking a session of Raghuvir Yadav in the show. The character is very serious and different from my former characters on screen. So I was more than happy to do it. I always wanted to experiment with serious roles and this role was the one.”
Commenting on the success of the show and his upcoming projects, Khurshed Lawyer says,” It is a blessing that the project is the talk of the town and the audience is liking it. I feel very happy to be a part of the same. Yes, there are a few projects that are in talks but I am still to sign the dotted lines.”
‘The Great Indian Murder’ is a crime thriller starring Ashutosh Rana, Richa Chadha, Pratik Gandhi, Shashank Arora, Sharib Hashmi, Paoli Dam and Raghuvir Yadav in leading roles.
