Bollywood’s leading actresses Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt share a common connection and that’s Ranbir Kapoor. Before tying the knot with Alia, Ranbir was in a serious relationship with Katrina, so much so that everyone thought they would end up getting married until they didn’t! After Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor broke up, the two actors moved on in their respective lives. Ranbir started dating Alia while shooting for Brahmastra but Katrina found love much later. However, when she fell for Vicky Kaushal, she didn’t take much time to put an official stamp on their relationship. Within two years of dating, they got married.
Katrina and Vicky flew out of Mumbai to have a private wedding ceremony in Rajasthan. It was just family and the closest of friends. Even the Bollywood stars weren’t invited. Right before their wedding, Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif got a drunk call from Alia Bhatt and Karan Johar.
Alia and Karan were in Delhi shooting for Hindi film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. As they were not invited to the wedding, they thought they would call them and give their blessings. Karan Johar narrated this incident on Koffee With Karan Season 7 when Vicky Kaushal graced the couch. Karan revealed that he and Alia are very fond of Katrina but they didn’t know Vicky in person until recently.

Karan told Vicky, “Me and Alia had drunk-dialed him once from Delhi. We were shooting and were both drinking wine and looking at the stars and we were like, ‘who do we call?’ We said we want to call Vicky and Katrina. It was right before their shaadi (wedding). We called them and we were like, ‘we are so happy for you, our hearts are happy.’ Because both of us love Katrina. I got to know you much later but Katrina I have known for years. Just the fact that she getting married made us all emotional and fussy and happy.”
For the unaware, Alia Bhatt has worked with Vicky Kaushal in 2018 film Raazi, which was produced by Karan Johar. Alia also shares a good bond with Ranbir’s ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif. They have also signed Farhan Akhtar’s film together. It is titled Jee Le Zaraa.
