As far as unusual and ensemble reel pairings in Bollywood goes, this latest one is just like icing on the cake where the quintessential A lister starlet Katrina is paired opposite the resident method Tollywood industry’s Tamil cinema superstar Vijay Sethupathi who has proved his mettle and credibility as a versatile superstar that has successfully pulled off many unconventional characters right from being a transgender in Super Deluxe to essaying a social activist KR Ramaswamy in Traffic Ramaswamy.
We are not used and accustomed to be seeing an unlikely combination like this but also all the Katrina and Vijay fans across the globe might be excited to know that their favorite superstars Katrina and Vijay join ace film maker Sriram Raghavan’s next.
Always known for giving us masterpiece films like Badlapur (2015), Andhadhun (2018) and many more, he is known to break the stereotypical clichés by entering into the forbidden territory by bringing both Katrina and Vijay together.
During a recent interview byte with a veteran Bollywood journalist from a digital entertainment portal, Sriram was quoted telling to the said journalist, “It is true, though premature to talk about it as many issues have to be sorted out”.
Also, Sriram is currently busy in planning a war biopic titled Ekkis with Varun Dhawan. Originally where the preparation for this film was supposed to commence back in April 2020 last year, Ekkis got delayed and pushed ahead to this year 2021. Sriram needs the certain kind of weather between September to October in order to film some scenes in the battle locations as well. Ekkis is going to wait as it won’t be going on floors before September 2021.
