A source reports that Kartik Aaryan will essay the role of an investigative journalist. The 29-year old has been gearing up for this role during the lockdown. He apparently has been consulting his media friends to nail the character in the movie with absolute perfection.
Furthermore, the source close to the development adds that the entire premise of the film unfolds in a media office. The movie has around 5-6 characters and it is a low-budget one-set movie. Kartik Aaryan chose to do this film because he wants to tap into his acting potential by working with different filmmakers.
As Kartik is often typecasted in lightweight comedy movies, he wants to expand his wings in other genres too. For the unknown, Ram Madhavani is the director of the Sonam Kapoor starrer Neerja. The film garnered a lot of fame and praise.
However, a report suggests that when Kartik signed to do this film, he decided to do it for himself. The reports states, “When he met Ram, Kartik’s only precondition before signing the film was, ‘I want this film to do for me what your Neerja did for Sonam.”
On the work front, Kartik Aaryan has Dostana 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 in his kitty.
