Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Sanon’s most awaited entertainer Shehzada has crashed at the box office on the first weekend itself, as the film even failed to cross Rs. 20 crores mark in first three days.
As per latest trade reports, Shehzada failed to pull up the audience to theatres as it only raked in Rs. 7.55 crores nett on Sunday, taking it’s first weekend collection to Rs. 20.15 crores nett.
It is a quite disappointing number, especially considering Shehzada had free run at the box office this week, as it was a solo big release and had no big competition from any other film. With opening trajectory not being up to the mark, it’s quite obvious that the film will soon fall flat on the weekdays.
Shehzada is also facing a tough competition from Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and to make things even more difficult the film will face a huge competition from Akshay Kumar- Emraan Hashmi starrer Selfiee which will hit the cinemas on February 24.
Helmed by Rohit Dhawan, ‘Shehzada’ is the Hindi remake of the Telugu blockbuster ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’ which starred Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde.
