A couple of days back India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the creation of Prime Minister’s Citizen and Relief Emergency Situations Fund (PM-CARES) and urged everyone to make donations and support this noble cause. Many citizens contributed on their behalf and amongst them was Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan.
The Pyaar Ka Punchnama actor has just now shared that he has donated Rs. 1 crore towards the fund. Kartik Aryan replied to the PM and pledged to donate Rs. 1 crore for the cause. He said that he has made the generous decision as he has reached this position because of the love and support from the masses and he feels like this the time to support them back.
He wrote, “It is the absolute need of the hour to rise together as a nation. Whatever I am, whatever money I’ve earned, is only because of the people of India; and for us I am contributing Rs. 1 crore to the PM-CARES Fund. I URGE all my fellow Indians also to help as much as possible.”
Kartik Aaryan becomes the latest name to be added in the list of celebrities who have contributed on their behalf for the PM-CARES Fund. The list includes Bollywood biggies like Rajnikant, Akshay Kumar, Anushka Sharma, and Team India skipper Virat Kohli.
