According to the latest news media reports off late, this is true that the bollywood actress Kareena quotes whopping 12 crores for KV Vijayendra Prasad’s Sita.
After success of Baahubali franchise in Bollywood as well, we have been seeing many big and iconic South industry (tollywood) film makers willingly collaborating with Bollywood actors in movies and ever since the announcement of this highly anticipated mythological period drama film Sita which is going to be written by the legendary writer of Baahubali and Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi writer KV Vijayendra Prasad and this latest news report from a leading digital bollywood portal came in that originally the makers were really keen and eager to cast Kareena Kapoor but now they are in limbo and tight spot since Kareena quotes whopping 12 crores for KV Vijayendra Prasad’s Sita.

This film is going to be helmed by Alaukik Desai and primarily revolving around Sita, its currently titled as Sita: The Incarnation and Kareena has demanded 12 crores for same and whilst most Bollywood actors and actresses sign a film with their remuneration between 6 to 7 crores, this big whopping price figure by Kareena has also gotten the makers thinking for going with their second choice on this list and currently even before filming for Sita would start, Kareena would firstly shoot for Veere Di Wedding 2 followed by Scam 1992 fame national award winning film maker Hansal Mehta’s next as it would take less time when compared to this mythological flick.
Currently the actress is working on her body and a source close to her in their recent quote to a leading digital entertainment portal told, “Kareena will shoot for Veere Di Wedding 2 and Hansal Mehta’s film first because they are smaller films that will be completed in one month’s time each. Sita will need at least 8-10 months of prep, shoot and production. So she will be completely consumed by one film at that point but Bebo (Kareena) also realises that this will be her biggest magnum opus till date, as it’s a retelling of Ramayana from Sita’s point of view”.
The source furthermore also added, “In fact, right now, they are reconsidering their decision and also taking the film to a younger actress, as well. But talks are on and Bebo remains the first choice”.
While writer and director both are keen to have Kareena Kapoor on board, the actress also finds the role apt for her. Besides this, it is also reported that makers have Alia Bhatt as their second choice.
The source also added this bit, “Kareena’s team is now figuring out dates and remuneration for the same. Once the modalities are worked out, a formal announcement will be made. In case, it doesn’t work out with Kareena, then Alia is their second pick for the period saga”.
