This is really exciting news for her fans across the globe as on the special occasion of Children’s day this time around on the 14th November 2020, their favorite ace Bollywood superstar Kareena Kapoor appointed as UNICEF India’s celebrity advocate.

The exemplary bollywood starlet who has been ruling the hearts of both her fans and audiences both in India and across the globe since past so many years, has added another feather in her successful feat of accomplishments where the Bollywood film fraternity, her friends, family and fans are very delighted and happiest to know that Kareena Kapoor appointed as UNICEF India’s celebrity advocate.

Today she took to her official Instagram handle on the occasion of World Children’s Day and wished all the children across the globe and also created awareness by trying to urge and convince people for joining her initiative to help the children have a better future, she also spoke in length about how this ongoing COVID 19 pandemic has affected gravely on countless children in different parts of the world on a global level thus also putting an indefinite halt and pause on their education.

Sharing this insightful and thought provoking video on her Instagram account, she wrote this caption that read, “#worldchildrensday. This #WorldChildrensDay I invite everyone to #reimagine a better future #ForEveryChild. Join me and @unicefindia to address the learning crisis. #reimagine #ForEveryChild”.

In the video, she has stated about the fact that this initiative is very close to her heart and is important to her as it all about providing the most essential element for any child’s career and fruitful survival in the world which is education.

Furthermore, within the video itself, she also explained that how badly have the children across the globe have gotten affected as due to the COVID 19 pandemic all the schools have remained shut for more than 7 months and transformed themselves into online schools which has made many kids miss out on their studies as well.

She also added this bit, “But, this year, as you all know schools have been closed for more than seven months due to the pandemic. There is a learning crisis with millions of children missing out on education in the country”.

She also said about how not every child is equipped with smartphones or even the basic computer and emphasizing on the same point, she told, “You know that not every child has a computer or a smartphone with internet or even TV. Children are missing out on essential learning”.

At the end of her video she got our focus and attention to the girl child with the fact that some of them might not even have the chance of going back to school and throwing light on this aspect, she quipped, “The chances are that many of them, especially girls, are not likely to ever go back to school.” Finally she concluded her video by convincing the people to support her and UNICEF in this cause for the betterment of the children affected due to this pandemic.

Currently, she is in Dharamshala along with husband Saif Ali Khan who is stationed in this picturesque town shooting for Bhoot Police.
