Earlier before revealing first official poster of the film on Instagram, he had released a video a while ago wherein he told his fans and friends that he would be announcing the poster of a film starring South industry superstar Vijay Sethupathi and now today itself making the Vijay fans across the nation more exited and thrilled, Karan unveils first poster of Vijay and Vikrant starrer Mumbaikar.
Since 2021 has officially begun, an exciting news update has been shared by the renowned film maker Karan Johar. A while back, he had posted a video where he specified that he will be officially revealing the first look poster of the collaboration between iconic film maker and superstar Vijay Sethupathi and now, Karan unveils first poster of Vijay and Vikrant starrer Mumbaikar.

This film also features Ranvir Shorey and other actors as well. This film marks the debut Bollywood production of Shibu Thameens.
This film also marks the official big Bollywood debut of the South industry’s superstar Vijay Sethupathi since he is no more a part of Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha which is an official hindi remake of the cult Hollywood film Forrest Gump that had Tom Hanks in leading role.
Karan shared the poster of the film Mumbaikar which has an aptly selected ensemble star cast of Vijay, Vikrant, Tanya Maniktala, Sanjay Mishra, Ranvir Shorey and Sachin Khedekar.
With the background of birds seen flying high in Marine Drive, the first official look poster only features the faces of the star cast in the film.
The film has been directed and helmed by Santosh Sivan, who is well renowned for his amazing and brilliant work in the Bollywood film industry.
Sharing the poster Karan expressing his happiness on his official twitter handle wrote, “Promises to be a stunning cinematic experience! After this not only Karan, but also the celebrated film maker SS Rajamouli shared the first look poster on his social media handle thereby cheering and rooting for this exceptionally talented team of artists.
Before revealing the first poster of the film, Karan had lauded and praised both Vijay and Santosh as he spoke in the video about announcing this ambitious project in his video post. Sharing the video post, Karan had written a caption which read, “Excited to share at 3pm the first look of the exceptionally talented MR Santosh Sivan’s next! Watch this space …. @santoshsivan”.
