With the ongoing second wave of COVID 19 becoming more dangerous and criticial now, many films are skipping theatrical releases by opting for a national digital premiere on OTT streaming platforms or pay per view platform and in midst of all this chaos, national award winning actress Kangana takes sly dig at Alia for her role in Gangubai Kathiawadi.
Always known for being fearlessly bold and being vocal about things, this time around the reigning queen of B town Kangana takes sly dig at Alia for her role in Gangubai Kathiawadi.
When the rumours of Thalaivi’s digital release hit the media mills and internet, the Queen took to her instagram stories and quashed all these baseless speculations and not only did she stop here, but fans and netizens also saw how swiftly Kangana takes sly dig at Alia for her role in Gangubai Kathiawadi.
Kangana Ranaut took a sly yet subtle indirect dig at Raazi (2018) fame Alia Bhatt without mentioning her name in the insta story wherein she also took potshots at Alia’s upcoming movie Gangubai Kathiawadi and publically also called her out as a chota bachcha cast for a gangster.
Whilst she clearly mentioned the facts about how the digital rights of Thalaivi are with Amazon Prime Video (Tamil) and Netflix India (Hindi), none of these both platforms would be releasing this film before its theatrical release calling these half baked stories fake propoganda and also said that strict action would be taken against these media outlets for spreading false rumours.
Kangana’s insta story read, “Thalaivi digital rights are with Amazon (Tamil) and Netflix (Hindi) none of them can individually stream the movie before theatres release, all the fake propaganda movie mafia doing please ignore. Thalaivi deserves a theatrical release and makers are determined, strict actions will be taken against any bikau media spreading fake propaganda”.
This was also followed by indirectly mocking Alia Bhatt for her role in Gangubai Kathiawadi and also labelling her as a chota bachcha cast in role of a gangster and mentioning same, she further wrote, “Bikau media write about ‘the film’ whose trailer was hugely criticised and mocked for bad acting and wrong casting of chota bachcha as gangster and is now being dumped on digital platform. Write about ‘the film’ which is being dumped on digital as they have the reality check that the film is a mistake, I don’t see enough news about that…”.
Furthermore, also taking potshots at portal carrying this fake news and in a way promoting nepo gang, Kangana’s sister Rangoli Chandel also slammed Alia Bhatt.
Sharing the screenshot of Sanjay Leela Bhansali mulling on digital release of Gangubai Kathiawadi, Kangana wrote, “To hide this… @aliabhatt, They will spread this, it’s a lie dont believe. Nepo mafia PR, thalaivi is coming in theatres. Nepotism mafia stop fake propaganda, bikau media stop selling yourself, thalaivi in theatres”.
