Kangana, the unthroned queen of controversy, her relationship with controversial statements is quite inverse. And if you thought she has already made her most ‘fussy’ comment yet, let us one you up! In a recent interview, the ‘Dhakaad’ actress was asked if she would take up an Indian mythological approx when it came to superhero movies. As she answered this, Kangana drew comparisons between Avengers and the Hindu mythological legend, Mahabharat.
“I would definitely adopt the Indian approach. I feel the West borrows from our mythology a lot. When I look at their superheroes like Iron Man, I feel his armour can be related to Karan’s armour from Mahabharata, Thor wielding the hammer can be compared to Hanumanji and his gada (mace),”
She continued, “I felt that The Avengers was also inspired by the Mahabharata. Their visual perspective is different, but the origins of these superhero stories are hugely inspired by our Vedas. They acknowledge this fact, too. Likewise, I would also want to do something original and why be limited to a via inspiration from the West”, Kangana Ranaut said.
Since her analogy, fans have taken to their social media handles, to react to it. Here are a few reactions!
“Does she know ki Thor is already a god in a different mythology?” wrote a user.
“She’s gone mad over Dhakad release.” wrote another.
“She is a roadside joker of India… Always thinking about some Bull$hit… Mannerless, Uneducated, Hypocrite Kangana… Bikini Queen Ram Bhakt” mentioned another user.
While this isn’t the first time when Kangana’s speech sounded condescending towards the movies from the West. “We need to discourage American and English movies as they are taking over our screens. We need to behave like one nation. We need to stop dividing ourselves like North India or South India. We need to enjoy our own films first, be it Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu or Punjabi.”
She had also stated how the Hollywood influence has destroyed many film industries like German, Italian and French, she said, “This is what they are doing here also… We don’t appreciate each other, and rather see the dubbed versions of ‘Lion King’ or ‘Jungle Book’. But we will not give a dubbed version of a Malayalam film a chance. This will not work in our favour. We must keep our people and our industry our priority. This is the way to make an Atmanirbhar Bharat.”
For the unversed, Kangana has lately been gearing up for the release of her next action-drama film, Dhaakad, which is all set to hit the theatres on the 20th of this month.
