Kangana Ranaut Says She Will QUIT Bollywood If She Won Lok Sabha Elections 2024

Kangana Ranaut is contesting the Lok Sabha elections in 2024 from her hometown, Mandi, while also having multiple acting projects lined up.

Kangana Ranaut has suggested the possibility of leaving Bollywood after the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. In a recent interview with Aaj Tak, she acknowledged the potential transition to active politics, citing her perception of the Hindi film industry as ‘fake’.

When asked if she would leave Bollywood if she wins the elections from the Mandi constituency, the actor responded affirmatively, saying, “Yes.” Kangana also shared her perspective, stating, “The film world is a lie, everything there is fake. They create a very different environment. It is a glossy world like a fake bubble which is to attract the audience. This is the reality. I am a very passionate person. I never wanted to do a job because I had to. Even in films I start writing, and when I get bored of playing a role, I direct or produce, so I have a very fertile mind and I want to be passionately engaged.”

For the unversed, Kangana is venturing into politics by contesting elections from her hometown Mandi. Representing the Bharatiya Janata Party, she is currently engaged in her campaign activities.

The actor began her Bollywood journey with “Gangster,” directed by Anurag Basu and co-starring Emraan Hashmi and Shiney Ahuja. The film was produced by Mahesh Bhatt. Kangana gained widespread recognition for her roles in movies such as “Queen,” “Tanu Weds Manu,” and “Tanu Weds Manu Returns.”

Kangana will next be seen in her film Emergency. The release of the film, originally planned for June, has been postponed. Additionally, she has other projects in the pipeline, including “Sita: The Incarnation,” “Noti Binodini,” and an untitled thriller alongside R Madhavan.
