The controversy queen of Bollywood, Kangana Ranaut is currently facing a lot of backlash from the netizens. The flak is in regards to the actress’s recent comments on the on-going Farmer Protests. She recently misidentified an elderly lady who was part of the protests as the same lady from the Shaheen Bagh protests. Ranaut even accused the old lady of being present in the protest for Rs 100.
Apparently, Kangana’s comment didn’t go well with the netizens. They quickly called her out for spreading fake news. In a turn of events, the actress deleted her tweet.
Now, in a series of tweets, Kangana has opened up about her stance on the farmers’ protest.
Kangana wrote, “I am with farmers, last year I activity promoted agroforestry and donated for the cause as well, I have been vocal about farmers exploitation and their problems also I worry a lot so prayed for resolves in this sector, which finally happened with this revolutionary bill.”
Apart from this, she also put forth her opinion by saying the bill will benefit the lives of the farmers. Kangana asked them to be patient as the government will certainly address all their doubts.
She concluded that tweet by saying, “I am with my farmers and people of Punjab hold special place in my heart.”
Seems like, Kangana is trying to mend her wrongs by finally understanding the ground-level situation.
On the work front, Kangan Ranaut will feature in Thalaivi and Dhaakad. The shooting for the same is currently underway.
