Kangana Ranaut Insults A Reporter During Press Conference Of Lock Upp

Kangana Ranaut lashed out at journalist for mentioning Deepika Padukone during the launch event of reality show 'Lock Upp.'

Kangana Ranaut recently got into a war of words with a reporter for asking a question that mentioned Deepika Padukone. During an event to launch her new reality show Lock Upp, Kangana lost her calm.

A reporter asked Kangana a question on Deepika Padukone’s recent controversy where an influencer shamed her for her clothing choices during Gehraiyaan promotions. While the journalist was asking Kangana to comment on how actresses are still judged for the length of their skirts, the actress arrogantly replied, “Look, I am here to defend those who can’t defend themselves. Alright? She can defend herself. She has the privilege, the platform and I can’t promote her film here. Sit down.”

The reporter added that ‘the intention was not to promote any film’, Kangana snapped, “Of course, you named the film. You are also naming a film which is coming. Obviously, you are being planted by the PRs of the said film. Arre yaar, hum itne bhi toh naadaan nahi hai na (I am not so naive). Do it outside, I will engage with you for 45 minutes.”

The journalist immediately called out the actress as she said that Kangana’s tone while answering ‘was a little condescending’. The actress replied, “You know, this is an old trick. The last time I was banned by the media in the same press conference, it didn’t lead to anything. So please have a seat.”

Eventually, Ekta Kapoor had to calm down the heated atmosphere of the press conference. She went down the stage and hugged the journalist.

Kangana Ranaut will be seen hosting Ekta Kapoor’s reality show ‘Lock Upp’.
