Kangana Ranaut heaps of praise for Rishab Shetty's film Kantara shares her watching experience and says "This is what cinema is".

Rishab Shetty’s film Kantara has been making quite some buzz lately. The Kannada film has now broken several records, the recently released film even left behind Yash’s film KGF 2. Many celebrities from the industry have praised the film for its impressive and unique storyline. While recently Dhaakad actress Kangana Ranaut also shared her review on the film, Kangana called the film “Unbelievable” the actress further thanked Rishab Shetty for making the film.

Sharing a short video on her Instagram stories Kangana said, “I am coming back with my family after watching a film called Kantara and I am still shaking. What an explosive experience!. Rishab Shetty hats off to you. Writing, directing, acting, action, brilliant! Unbelievable! What a fine blend of folklore, tradition, and indigenous issues. What beautiful photography, action, thriller.”

She added, “This is what cinema is, this is what films are for and theatrical experience, unbelievable. I heard so many people in the theatre say, log jaate jaate keh rahe the ki humne aisa kuch bhi nahi dekha kabhi (I heard so many people say while they were leaving that they haven’t seen anything like this). Thank you for this film and brilliant. I don’t think I will recover from this experience, not for another week. wow!”

In a follow-up story, Kangana wrote, “I feel #Kantara should be India’s entry to Oscar next year, I know year is yet to end and there may be better films coming, but more than Oscar India needs the right representation globally… this land of mysteries and Mystics one can’t understand one can only embrace it …. India is like a miracle… if you try and make sense of it you will only get frustrated but if you surrender to the miracle you can also be one …. Kantara is an experiential reality which world must experience .. @rishabshetty77.”

About Kantara

Rishab Shetty’s film Kantara is based on the Karnataka annual festivals, Bhoota Kola and Kambala. The film is based on folklore, a story of a conflict between humans and nature. The story revolves around “Bhoota” who trades forest land with King in exchange for happiness later King’s son grows up to become a greedy person and claims back the land. The action-adventure film stars Rishab Shetty, Sapthami Gowda, Kishore Kumar G, Achyuth Kumar, and Pramod Shetty in key roles.
