Kangana Ranaut Generously Donates Rs.10 Lakh To FEFSI & Daily Wagers Of Thalaivi

The sudden lockdown in the nation due to the novel coronavirus forced the cine industry to shut down to combat the spread of the infection. The imposed lockdown has adversely affected the daily wage earners of the society and they are suffering. Several celebrities have stepped forward to donate to Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI), Nadigar Sangam and other relief funds that will provide help to the daily wage earners.

The new celeb to join the list is Bollywood’s Kangana Ranaut, who has pledged to contribute to both FEFSI and the team of director Vijay’s Thalaivi, the film in which she will be playing the lead role.

Sources said, “Since the outbreak of coronavirus, all film-related work had been halted and this has affected daily-wage workers who were dependent on the film industry. Kangana, who was working on Thalaivi, a biopic on former actress and late CM of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalithaa, has come forward to donate to FEFSI. She has come forward to donate Rs 5 lakh towards FEFSI’s COVID -19 Relief Funds, and another Rs 5 lakh for the daily wage workers of her film Thalaivi.”

Previously, Kangana had also made donations to the PM-CARES Fund and also pledged to donate ration to the daily wage earners across India.

For the unversed, amid the lockdown Kangana Ranaut is currently spending some quality time with her family at her hometown in Manali.

On the work front, Kangana Ranaut will be next seen in Thalaivi, the film is based on the real-life of Indian politician and actress Jayalalithaa. The film is slated to release on June 26, 2020. Delay in the release can be expected owing to the on-going global pandemic.
