Despite Dengue, Kangana Ranaut Continues To Shoot For Film Emergency
On Monday, the Bollywood Dhaakad actress Kangana Ranaut was diagnosed with dengue, the actress went down with a high fever and low white blood cell count. However, despite such nerve-wracking health conditions the actress’ passion and hard work didn’t fade a bit.
Sharing the same the team of the film shared a heartfelt note for the actress and wrote, “When you are down with dengue, alarmingly low white blood cell count and high fever and yet you land at work, it’s not passion it’s madness…our chief @kanganaranaut is such an inspiration.” Responding to the gesture Kangana wrote, “Thank you team @manikarnikafilms body gets ill not the spirit…thanks for the kind words.”
The Dhakad girl of Bollywood will be seen essaying the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the film. The long-awaited film will finally go on floors and the Tanu Weds Manu actress has returned to the director’s chair for this film. The movie is based on the emergency crisis that took place in the year 1975 when Indira Gandhi was the Prime Minister of India.
Talking about her film Kangana told ANI, “They(the audience) want to involve themselves much more with the narrative and the narrative should also be focused on them. The Emergency is an undeniable part of recent history and I feel that this will click with the audience. Since the teaser has dropped it’s been trending at number 1, it has taken the nation by storm and it is a validation of the fact that this is what people are starved for. It’s not that people don’t want content, they want to see young filmmakers, new thought process, and refreshing ideas and not the stale typical formula films. I do believe that my instinct as a filmmaker will pay off big time.”
In Emergency, Kangana will be seen playing the role of former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi. She took the help of Oscar-winning make-up artist David Malinowski to get the perfect look of Indira Gandhi in the film. Kangana herself is directing this film and apart from her will see Bhumika Chawla, Anupam Kher, and Shreyas Talpade in the lead roles.
