Kangana Ranaut Comes Out To Support, “The Kerala Story”, Says This

Kangana Ranaut comes out in support of Sudipto Sen's directorial, "The Kerala Story". Says people who think the film is attacking them are terrorists.

Sudipto Sen’s directorial “The Kerala Story” has now finally hit the theaters on 5th May. However the film was earlier embroiled in major controversy before its release, while even being called as a “propaganda film” for the depiction of forced conversion & radicalization of women in Kerala. Reacting to the same, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut was recently seen supporting the film and slamming the people who are going against the film.

At ABP’s Majha Maha Katta event, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut was asked to share her thoughts about the controversy surrounding, “The Kerala Story”. Reacting to which the actress said, that “The Kerala Story” is not targeting any religious community but only the terrorist organization. She stated that she hasn’t watched the film yet, but many have tried to get the film banned. While the High Court has clearly stated that the film won’t be banned.

Kangana further added that the film isn’t showing anyone in a bad light but only the terrorist organization, ISIS. And if people think that its not a terrorist organization then they themselves are terrorists. Kangana further stated that people who think that the film is attacking them are simply terrorists.

About “The Kerala Story”

Directed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, the drama film, “The Kerala Story” stars Yogita Bihani, Adah Sharma, Siddhi Idnani, and Sonia Balani in the lead roles. The film is set to release on 5th May.

The movie’s storyline focuses on the forced & radicalization of women in Kerala. The movie reportedly claims that almost 32,000 women in the state were allegedly forced to convert to Islam while many were taken to “ISIS”.
