Kangana Ranaut impressed us all with her fierce avatar in the 2019 film Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi. The film was based on freedom fighter Rani Lakshmi Bai of Jhansi. And now, Kangana has announced the second installment of the Manikarnika franchise.
The sequel will be titled Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda. The film will revolve around the life of Didda, Kashmir’s first woman ruler who was popularly known as “Cleopatra of Kashmir”.
Didda ruled Kashmir directly and indirectly for around five decades in the 10th and 11th centuries.
The film will be jointly produced by Kangana and Kamal Jain and is expected to go on floors in January 2022. This year, Kangana will be seen in the much-anticipated films Dhaakad and Thalaivi.
