Also opening up on rejecting The Dirty Picture which later was taken up by Vidya Balan wherein later this film became a superhit and ended up winning many awards and accolades as well for Vidya Balan but Kangana did not regret on rejecting this film and in her latest interview sharing backstory about same, Kangana said that she wouldn’t have done it better than Vidya Balan.
In her recent interview, when asked that did she regret refusing The Dirty Picture, on this the Panga (2019) fame reigning queen of B-town Kangana Ranaut said, “Not really. But I think The Dirty Picture, just like I always said, turned out to be so wonderful! But I don’t think I would have done it better than Vidya Balan because she was terrific in that. But yes, sometimes I feel that I didn’t see the potential in that film”.
Also opening up on taking the unique and unconventional route in Bollywood to make her permanent foothold in this industry and still becoming an A lister starlet today, Kangana said, “I have never done one of those conventional films of Rajkumar Hirani or Sanjay Leela Bhansali or even Dharma Productions, YRF or any of the Khans’ films. I have done none of that but still, I’m the top leading actress who has made a name for herself. It is a case study on its own. Though I failed to see the opportunity in The Dirty Picture, I don’t regret it”.
On the work front, currently at the moment, Kangana Ranaut has an interesting sleuth and lineup of films which include Thalaivi, Dhaakad, Tejas and many more projects as well.
