Kajol has unveiled her first look from her upcoming movie. She will next star in Salaam Venky directed by Revathi. The film was announced by releasing the first look poster. Following the poster release, the trailer will release on November 14th. All Kajol fans got excited to see her return to films after Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior.
The actress took to her Instagram account to share the first-look poster. She captioned the post, “Ek Badi Zindagi ka Bada Celebration is about to begin!️ #SALAAMVENKY Trailer out on November 14th! Catch the incredible journey of Sujata and Venkatesh only in cinemas on 9th December!”
The poster displayed Kajol in a red saree pushing a man on a wheelchair with bags full of groceries. The image read the movie title ‘Salaam Venky’ aloud with the tagline ‘Zindagi Lambi Nahi Badi Honi Chahiye’. It also announced the release date that the movie will hit cinemas on 9th December 2022.
Kajol’s actor-husband Ajay Devgn reacted to the post with a comment. He wrote, “Have heard super stuff on Salaam Venky. It’s going to be emotionally-charged and entertaining. Congratulations @kajol @revathyasha @vishaljethwa06 @rahulbose7 @simplyrajeev @aahanakumra.”
Salaam Venky is centered around a true story of a woman and the challenges she faces in life. This project is a collaboration of Revathi and Kajol to tell the story of a praiseworthy mother, who battled the most difficult circumstances. The trailer will release on November 14th.
Helmed by Revathi, Salaam Venky was initially titled The Last Hurrah. It is Produced by Suuraj Sinngh, Shraddha Agrawal, and Varsha Kukreja under the banner Blive Productions and Take 23 Studios. This family drama is set to release in theaters on 9th December 2022.
On the work front, Kajol has an upcoming web series The Good Wife in the pipeline. The web show is an official Indian adaptation of the American courtroom drama of the same name. The web show will stream on Disney+ Hotstar.
