Kajol Talks About Her Dream Job Which Was Definitely Not Acting

Kajol revealed acting was never her dream she wanted regular pay cheques.

When it comes to the 90s Bollywood actress there are a few that comes to our mind. Kajol is one of the top-listed 90s Bollywood stars. She is a celebrated actress and loved by many for her acting and movies. In a reality show, she made a big revelation about her career. Kajol along with her mother and veteran actor Tanuja will soon come as guests on Kon Honaar Crorepati, the Marathi version of Kaun Banega Crorepati. The brilliant actress disclosed the fact that she always aimed to do a regular job and that acting was never her dream.

The mother-daughter duo shared some fun anecdotes about their lives on the show hosted by Sachin Khedekar. The special episode of the duo will be aired on June 11 in which you will know why Kajol didn’t want to do acting. However, for those who can’t wait for long to watch the show we have recorded the DDLJ actress’s biggest secret.

During the show, Kajol said, “I never wanted to become a part of the Bollywood or Hindi Film industry. I did not want to enter the industry as an actress. I always wanted to do a job. A job where I could get a pay cheque in my account every month.”

Apparently, the Baazigar star had revealed this in 2019 as well. In an old interview, she told PTI: “I did not have a great start. My first film did not do well. I have never considered it (acting) as a career, it happened to me and I just went with the flow. I was always on my toes (while choosing a film) and have been choosy always. I had a great time working on all the films, I met some amazing people. I still think of my work as a play time and rather my work is at home,”

Kajol has delivered some amazing movies like Baazigar, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhie Khushi Kabhi Ghum, Dhushman, Karan Arjun, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Gupt, My Name is Khan, Fanaa, and many more. She made her Bollywood debut in 1992 with Rahul Rawail’s Bekhudi. It is surprising to know that the actor who has given entertaining movies and done award-winning acting never wanted to be an actor.

On the work front, Kajol was last seen in the Netflix film ‘Tribhanga’ which was released in 2021. She is currently working on Revathi’s upcoming film Salaam Venky.
