Kajal Aggarwal and Gautam Kitchlu welcomed their little one, son Neil, on the 19th of April and soon after that, Kajal took to her Instagram handle to share the news of her son’s birth and also revealed his name. As fans poured love and well wishes for the newly become parents, the ‘Singham’ actress gave deets about her delivery process and what worries her the most as a new mother.
“Holding Neil upon my chest covered with white mucous membrane and placenta within seconds of his birth has been my only tryst with self actualisation and such an indescribable feeling! That one moment made me understand the deepest potential of love, made me feel tremendous amount of gratitude and realise the responsibility of my heart outside of my body – forever – and all at the same time” she said.
She also shared how it none of it wasn’t easy at all, but definitely worth it. “Ofcourse it’s not been easy- 3 sleepless nights that bleed into early mornings, learning to latch and burp, squishy bellies and stretched skin, frozen pads, breast pumps, uncertainty, constant worry if you’re doing it all right, all topped with dozes of anxiety.” she said.
“But it’s also moments like these -Sweet cuddles in the wee hours of the morning, gazing into each other’s eyes with a look of confident recognition, adorable little kisses, the quiet moments when it’s just the two of us, growing, learning, discovering each other and navigating this wonderful journey together. In reality, postpartum isn’t glamorous but it sure can be beautiful,” she added. ‘
Kajal had revealed the birth of her son via her social media handle on Instagram, she wrote, “Excited and elated to welcome my baby Neil into this world. Our birthing was exhilarating, overwhelming, long, yet the most satisfying experience there could be,” along with sharing her picture from her maternity shoot. Even during her pregnancy, some troller made it a point to body shame her, for putting on some weight due to pregnancy. But kudos to Kajal for addressing the issue and shutting them like a pro.

She shared, “During pregnancy, our bodies go through several changes, including weight gain!! Hormonal changes cause our stomach and breasts to get larger as the baby grows and our body prepares for nursing. Some might develop stretch marks where our body gets larger. Sometimes our skin will break out with acne. We may also be much more tired than usual and have mood swings more often. A negative mood may make us more likely to have unhealthy or negative thoughts about our bodies.”
