JugJugg Jeeyo Day 2: Bollywood’s much-anticipated film JugJugg Jeeyo has hit the theatres. Karan Johar’s film starring Kiara Advani, Varun Dhawan Anil, and Neetu Kapoor has been receiving positive reviews from the viewers. On the first day the film collected, Rs. 9.28 crores net, while on the second day during the weekend showed great growth and collected 12.55 crore.
Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the second-day collections of the film on Twitter and wrote, “#JugJuggJeeyo gets a solid 35.24% push on Day 2… #Delhi, #NCR, #Gujarat lead, followed by #Mumbai, #Pune, #Chandigarh, #Bengaluru… Mass circuits improve, should grow on Day 3… Eyes ₹ 37 cr [+/-] weekend total… Fri 9.28 cr, Sat 12.55 cr. Total: ₹ 21.83 cr. India biz.”
As per reports, Saturday growth is among the highest among the films released post the pandemic if not highest taking out The Kashmir Files. Obviously, it would have been better if the growth was more but maybe the 60% plus growth pre-pandemic is now maybe 40%. It could be that this 40% level is now an excellent jump on Saturday but only time will tell as more and more films are released.
The reports further stated, The Saturday growth was always likely as it is a film which caters to multiplexes in the bigger centers and that has come in very well and maybe even more than expected. The bigger test will be Sunday as the bigger metro multiplexes are slow on Sunday evening so other multiplexes have to come on board for the film to have a good jump on Sunday. The film does not need to repeat the Saturday growth on Sunday but it must not go under 20% if the film is to get the Monday to hold it needs to succeed.
The film is a tale of two couples from different generations entangled around the issues post marriage. The premise beautifully merges the generation gap and puts out a unique point of view about love, but with ample humor. JugJugg Jeeyo is more about families, and the bond a married son with his father and mother played by Anil and Neetu Kapoor.
JugJugg Jeeyo is an upcoming Indian Hindi comedy-drama film directed by Raj Mehta and produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, and Apoorva Mehta. The film stars Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Kiara Advani in the lead roles alongside Prajakta Koli and Manish Paul. It is scheduled for release on 24 June 2022.
