Pathaan: Siddharth Anand Reveals Secret Behind John Abraham’s Suave Entry As Jim

Film's director Siddharth Anand revealed that this song was not their first choice.

Remember John Abraham’s suave introduction as Jim in Pathaan? Many netizens claimed it to be one of the best villain introduction in the history of Hindi cinema. A villain has to command attention, fear, or even admiration from their very first scene.

And John does exactly that in his introduction. But with John Abraham suave attitude and swag, the equal credit for such a huge impact of this introduction goes to the filmmaker Siddharth Anand’s idea of making him whistle the tune of India’s most popular patriotic song ‘Ae Mere Watan Ke Logo’.

But you will be surprised to find out that, this song was not their first choice. In an interview with Baradwaj Ranjan, the filmmaker Siddharth Anand revealed that ‘Ae Mere Watan Ke Logo’ was not their first choice for John’s introduction sequence. “Ideally we wanted to play National anthem but you can’t whistle on it. That’s wrong, so we then went ahead with this song instead. And it just was so apt and it just worked out so well”, Siddharth Anand revealed.

“We are so fortunate to have found the song like that and done it with so much conviction. I was really excited when this thought of using ‘Ae Watan Ke Logo’ actually came about. In fact we were also toying with the idea of should he sing it or whistle it. But finally we went ahead with the whistle and it has so much swag to it”, he further added.
