After sharing an amazing first look poster, the filmmakers of Amitabh Bachchan starrer “Jhund” release their movie’s teaser. The teaser begins with Amitabh Bachchan’s voice in the background saying, “Jhund nahi kahiye sir, team kahiya, TEAM”, and we can see the kids walking on the road showing off their “gully” swag. Although the kids have their back at the camera, we can see them holding sticks, bats, chains, bricks in their hands.
With a song directed by iconic music directors Ajay-Atul playing in the hind side of this teaser we get a sneak peek into the lives of these kids through its lyrics.
Abhishek Bachchan shared Jhund’s teaser on his Twitter account and wrote, “I am so excited for this film. It’s just awesome!!! Presenting the teaser trailer of #Jhund teaser..” And he went on to tag his father Amitabh Bachchan and director Nagraj Manjule along with the T-Series owner Bhushan Kumar under whose banner this film is been made.
The background area shown in this teaser is shabby yet amazing and leaves us wanting to know about the lives of these kids and why they are the way they are. In the first poster look, we saw Amitabh Bachchan looking at the slum habilitation which is on the other side of a wall while a red –white football just lays around.
Amitabh Bachchan will play the role of Professor Vijay Barse in this film, who forms a football team of the slum kids, NGO Slum Soccer. The wall in the poster might be there to signify how a football will break down the barriers and let the slum kids meet this side of the world.
If the first look poster introduces us to Amitabh Bachchan then this teaser introduces us to his team.
Directed by Nagraj Manjule “Jhund” will hit the big screens on 8 May 2020.
