Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming film ‘Jersey’ has been postponed once again. The sports drama film was scheduled to release on Dec 31 in theatres. But due to the rising Covid and Omicron cases in the country, the makers have decided to postpone the film’s release.
Jersey Release Date Postponed:
The makers of the film have released an official statement to announce that the Jersey release date has been postponed. The decision was taken as certain states have already started to shut down places of public gatherings such as theatres, spas, gyms, etc.
Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur were extensively promoting the film ahead of its release.
Jersey was initially scheduled to be theatrically released on 28 August 2020 before the COVID-19 pandemic delayed production. When the Covid cases decreased, the crew finished shooting the film on 14 Dec 2020.
While the film’s release date has been postponed, the makers have not yet announced a fresh date.
