As disclosed by Saif Ali Khan, Sara Ali Khan who made her the first appearance in Kedarnath was offered a role alongside dad Saif Ali Khan in the movie Jawaani Jaaneman.

The upcoming comedy-drama of Saif Ali Khan, Jawaani Jaaneman, is creating lots of buzzes and is considered to be a successive win for the actor post-Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. The film stars Tabu as a hippie mum and Alaya F daughter of Pooja Bedi as the daughter of the couple. But did you know that Sara Ali Khan should have made her film debut? Here we have everything you need to know.

For the unversed, while Sara had already begun working on Kedarnath along with Sushant Singh Rajput, things took a toll and the future remained uncertain because of the tragic love story of Abhishek Kapoor. The film was about to be put on hold, and that’s when dad Saif Ali Khan came to the rescue and offered the newbie Jawaani Jaaneman.

In an interview with a portal, Saif himself made the revelation as he began, “Yeah, what had happened was that Kedarnath was almost shelved, and Sara had no other movie So this film was around and I asked her if she would like to do this, being the knight in shining armour and a good daddy. She said yes.”

Saif added “Kedarnath came back on track and then, Simmba also fell in place. I only told her then that listen Sara, don’t do this film. This was a backup for you. I think I could have done it with someone else but she should be working with Ranveer Singh and Varun Dhawan next. She said she would like to do that. I wouldn’t want her to do a film just because it’s me. It gets really complicated when it’s about family,”

While Saif accepted and spoke about the reports that films had previously been offered to the father-daughter duo that they had been given 3-5 scripts, but none that they were okay with each other.

Together with Alaya Furniturewala and Tabu, Jawaani Jaaneman is a romcom directed by Nitin Kakkar starring Saif Ali Khan. It is produced by Pooja Entertainment by Jacky Bhagnani in collaboration with Black Knight Film by Saif Ali Khan.
