Janhvi Kapoor and family unveils the wax statue of Sridevi at Madame Tussauds

Sridevi’s wax statue was unveiled at the Madame Tussauds wax Museum Singapore and Boney Kapoor got rather emotional.

Sridevi has now joined the bandwagon of Shah Rukh Khan and many others as her wax statue at Madame Tussauds was unveiled today. Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, and Boney Kapoor flew down to Singapore to unveil the statue.

The actress has been immortalized in her ‘Hawa Hawai’ avatar from ‘Mr India’. She is seen donning a gold-colored costume from the iconic song and is one of her most fashionable avatars.

Boney Kapoor and others got very emotional as they stood before the statue and posed for pictures.

As a tribute to her, the museum had also collected messages from her fans from across the world and displayed them on the tribute wall at the launch.

We lost this gem of an actor Sridevi back in February 2018. She was in the Gulf to attend a family wedding wherein she succumbed to death by drowning in a bath tub. The news shocked the entire nation.

On Sridevi’s 56th birthday Janhvi wrote: ” Happy birthday Mumma, I love you”. Anil Kapoor, her brother-in-law and co-star in a number of hit film, had written: “Today is a bittersweet day as we celebrate you on what would have been your 56th Birthday…We feel the sadness of your loss deeply, but remembering your smile and the joy you brought to all our lives unites us in your memory…We miss you everyday #Sridevi!”
